Ethical Ingredient Sourcing

At the heart of our business is a commitment to sourcing ingredients responsibly and ethically.

We take great pride in using pure botanical elements that capture the beauty of nature's aromatic treasures. At the same time, we recognise the importance of creating fragrances that are both safe and accessible.

For this reason, our formulations are carefully developed to remove the most harmful allergens while remaining as close to botanical as possible. This allows us to offer our fragrances to a wider audience without compromising on quality.

We also work closely with trusted partners who share our commitment to sustainability. Transparency, ethical sourcing, and responsible practices remain central throughout our supply chain.

Our rigorous ingredient selection process includes sourcing oils exclusively from certified suppliers and maintaining high standards at every stage.

 

Long-Term Craftsmanship

Sustainability is often about making the most of what already exists.

For more than a decade, we have continued to use the same tooling, dye-cut machine, and foiling plates. Their longevity is a testament to their quality and to the care we take in maintaining them.

By preserving and continuing to use these tools, we reduce unnecessary waste while maintaining the craftsmanship our clients expect.

Reducing Our Plastic Footprint

One of our ongoing goals is to move towards a 95% plastic-free approach.

To support this objective, we have introduced several important changes:

• Removed lamination from our front labels
• Reduced our reliance on plastic materials
• Completely phased out plastic lids
• Introduced more sustainable alternatives wherever possible

Removing lamination does make our labels slightly more susceptible to scratches. However, it is a conscious decision we are happy to make in support of the environment.

Every adjustment, no matter how small, helps us move closer to our sustainability goals.

Making Use of Every Resource

We are committed to making the most of every available resource and minimising unnecessary waste.

Excess paper and fragrance sticks are repurposed as packaging filler, giving materials a second life rather than sending them to landfill.

These simple yet effective practices reflect our commitment to recycling, reducing waste, and lowering our overall environmental impact.

Handmade Packaging and Local Sourcing

When it comes to our packaging, we take a hands-on approach.

I personally oversee the handmade crafting of every box to ensure exceptional quality and attention to detail. Working alongside a skilled team, we source materials locally within the United Kingdom whenever possible.

Supporting local suppliers not only reduces transportation impacts but also helps create opportunities for businesses within our community.

Our packaging is designed to be both luxurious and practical. Many of our clients choose to reuse their boxes as jewellery boxes or keepsake storage, giving them a purpose long after the fragrance has been enjoyed.

Sustainable Shipping Labels

We are also proud to embrace innovative printing methods for our shipping labels.

Rather than relying on traditional ink, we use heat printing technology to apply shipping information.

This approach removes the need for ink cartridges and helps reduce unnecessary waste while maintaining the professional presentation our clients expect.

Fragrance-Infused Replica

 

At the recent Burghley Horse Trials, we collaborated with the exceptionally talented artisan Susan e Lamb Botanicals to create what we proudly call the Fragrance-Infused Replica.

This unique piece has been carefully crafted using environmentally responsible materials and serves as a sustainable alternative to traditional perfume samples.

The replica features a white jesmonite base chosen for its durable, non-dusty, and eco-conscious properties. It can be handled comfortably without leaving residue behind.

Within the design sits an absorbent plaster insert that captures and holds the essence of our fragrances. On the reverse side, there is a dedicated space for the placement of our perfume bottle label.

The Fragrance-Infused Replica allows clients to experience our fragrances in a unique and sustainable way while supporting our wider environmental goals.
